Stop 27: Simmons’s Ford

This tour stop is located just south of the intersection of Leeds Trafficway and Stadium Drive. According to the 1877 Jackson County Township 49 Range 33 plat map there was a road that crossed here in the northwest quarter of Sections 13. Col. Thomas Moonlight deployed his brigade at this location on October 22.
