Aerial View of Lexington

Aerial View of Lexington, Missouri

This is an aerial view of Lexington, Missouri that was drawn in 1869 by A. Ruger. It provides a good look at the area over which the Battle of Lexington was fought in 1861. In the lower left of the picture you can see the entrenchments build by the Federal defenders before the battle. Inside the entrenchments stands the Masonic College and the domitory buildings. Just below the entrenchments and a little to their right is the Anderson House.
