This tour stop is located a short walk down the Blue River Trail to the Blue River. That curved, gradual slope down into the river in front of you is where the Byram’s Ford Road entered the river ford. Look across to the other side of the river and you will see the back of a 4x8 foot sign for the west bank location of Byram’s Ford. The Historic Byram’s Ford Road headed in a north/south direction when it crossed the river. Wagons entered the river near here and stayed in the river for a bit before exiting the river near the sign on the opposite bank.
